Is there an age limit for buying knives in BC?
He wanted to buy a pocket knife to take when I'm hunting, as in the Canadian Tire or any sporting goods store or something, I was wondering if there is an age restriction. Besides, what kind of knife is good to take hunting, eviscerated animals (small and large) and for self defense? A lot of stores have not sold to minors because they end up dealing with angry parents, demanding that they refund the money of their children. There is no actual law though. Do not order the opening of knives assistance from other states or countries. They are legal, but they still confiscated by customs. Then the onus is on you to demonstrate that it is lawful and avoid destruction. If you want one find a store in Canada, it sells. The problem with assisted opening knives is that they are mostly line blocking. Liner Lock Knives can be closed in the hand if you try to push something to unless you have an additional locking device. CRKT makes a lot of knives with this feature, including the opening support.
